Logansville (GA) Grayson 2019 Michigan offensive lineman commitment Trente Jones has earned a fourth star and is now the 197th ranked player in the country according to 247Sports.
Jones, who verbally committed to the Wolverines over the summer, has consistently held his own at national camps and is reportedly Grayson’s highest graded offensive lineman this year; a group that includes 2019 five-star tackle Wanya Morris.
The four-star has been on Michigan’s campus numerous times since committing and recently told our Brice Marich of his goals upon getting to Ann Arbor.
“I think we are building something great and when we come to Michigan we will make this team go to the College football playoffs every year if we aren’t already by the time we get there,” Jones said of his 2019 class. “If we are, then we are taking it back home to Michigan.”
He also told Marich that he looks forward to calling Ann Arbor his future home.
“This visit was more getting to know how we all fit in and Michigan continues to impress with the family vibe every time and the sheer impressiveness of their education,” Jones said. “I feel like every coach from the student assistants to the head coach I connect with on every level. Michigan is my home. With that being said, I think it’s a perfect fit. This is going to be my home in a year and some change.”
With the move to four-star status, Michigan now has three verbal commitments on the offensive line within the Top247 as Nolan Rumler and Karsen Barnhart hold their spots. The Wolverines continue to recruit another four-star in Trevor Keegan as well.
