The Green Bay Packers are looking for a new head coach, having fired Mike McCarthy on Sunday, and a major college football coach has been mentioned as a possible candidate.
Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh always seems to be mentioned for potential NFL jobs and it’s happening again with the Packers.
ESPN’s Green Bay Packers reporter said this morning that the franchise “might be interested” in hiring Harbaugh.
“If Jim Harbaugh is looking to come back into the NFL, Packers might be interested,” he said.

Of course, this is pretty speculative. Harbaugh is mentioned for NFL head coaching jobs every offseason and he always remains in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Betting odds on the Packers’ next hire have been released, though, and Harbaugh is pretty high up on the list.
Harbaugh is listed behind three NFL coaches.

There are many who believe Harbaugh will eventually return to the NFL, but it’s tough to see him leaving Michigan at this moment. The Wolverines had a disappointing finish to the regular season, getting blown out by Ohio State, and Harbaugh has to feel like he has more to accomplish in Ann Arbor.
