Former Michigan running back Kurt Taylor announced he would transfer back in early November. Today, he chose JUCO Iowa Central to continue his collegiate career, while keeping his recruitment open on Twitter.
He moves on to Iowa Central, a junior college located in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Tritons finished 8-4 last season, good enough for second place in the Iowa Community College Conference.
The former 3-star recruit ran for 3,023 yards and 40 touchdowns in three seasons as a member of Grayson High School in Covington, Georgia. This led Taylor to be the No. 65 ranked back in the country.
He was buried down the depth at Michigan. With Chris Evans, Tru Wilson, Christian Turner and Zach Charbonnet fighting for the starting spot next season, there was no place for Taylor on the roster. He never saw the field in his two seasons with the team and was not listed on the active roster this year.
Taylor is a part of the infamous 2017 class, which was once ranked as the No. 5 class in the country. Now, nearly one-third of its members have left the program.
