There have been lots of rumors about who will and won’t play in the Peach Bowl for Michigan football so here is a breakdown of what might happen.
If you didn’t know, the college bowl season starts this weekend and for the Michigan football, that means the Peach Bowl, the kickoff game of the New Year’s Six, is just 15 days away.
If you follow Michigan football, you will know that literally, a ton of news has dropped since Wolverines were announced in the Peach Bowl back on Dec. 2.
To start with, Urban Meyer retired as Ohio State football coach, Rashan Gary said he was not playing in the Peach, Jim Harbaugh was rumored to the NFL, then Daxton Hill de-committed, Harbaugh rebuked the NFL, Don Brown interviewed at Temple and now Hill is considering filliping back.
Sound about right?
Yes, I would say it has been a busy couple of weeks and for that reason, the Peach Bowl between Michigan football and Florida has been pushed under the rug a little. Most of the news has centered on who will and won’t play for the Wolverines.
But with just a couple weeks to go, we still don’t know for sure outside of Gary, as well as Chase Winovich and Shea Patterson who both said they are playing. For the record, Ben Bredeson is playing too and coming back next season.
Yet, there are still questions about guys like Devin Bush Jr., Lavert Hill, David Long and Karan Higdon, four players with NFL draft potential. After Gary’s announcement, Harbaugh indicated more could be on the way, but that it would be up to the players to make it known.
So here are my predictions for who will and won’t play for Michigan football in the Peach Bowl.
