Major Update On Michigan QB Shea Patterson’s NFL Decision

The Michigan Wolverines should cherish every game with Shea Patterson in the starting lineup, as the transfer quarterback has the potential to leave for the NFL. While nothing is official yet, reports are circulating that his decision could be leaning heavily in one direction.

In 10 games with the Wolverines, Patterson has 1,927 passing yards, 19 total touchdowns and just three interceptions. His ability to constantly move the chains has turned Michigan into one of the most balanced offenses in the country.

Unfortunately, the Wolverines won’t have Patterson under center forever, and it turns out that he could enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Multiple sources have reached out to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, revealing that Patterson is expected to declare for the draft.

From Bleacher Report:

Another underclassman quarterback expected to declare is Michigan’s Shea Patterson. The source explained that Patterson and Haskins both feel they can drive their stock up in this class and will benefit by not competing with the 2020 group that includes Jake Fromm and Tua Tagovailoa.

It would be hard to blame Patterson for this decision. After all, this upcoming draft lacks elite talent at the quarterback position.

Jumping into the dangerous waters of the NFL would be tough, but Patterson has shown before that he can adapt. From Ole Miss to Michigan, the right-handed gunslinger continues to perform well.

With the regular season approaching its end, it’ll be worth monitoring his draft status.
