Bracketology season is quickly approaching. And while it may still be too early to project the field, teams around the nation are building up their resumes.

This NCAA basketball season is an entire month in. And with this said, bracketology season is quickly approaching. It is still too early to start projecting the field based on resumes and the eye test but certain wins definitely seem like ones that will be important down the road. Every win might be incredibly important but some are weighted more heavily than others. Strength of schedule ratings play a major role in NCAA Tournament selection and winning those big-time games can take resumes to the next level.

As has been the case throughout the early parts of this season, this bracketology piece breaks down five teams that significantly improved their resumes over this past week. This could include unexpected road wins, outstanding performances at home, or simply continued success from prior weeks that few people were expecting. It might still be early in the year but many teams have been surprising, both positively and negatively, in the first month.

And considering many teams around the nation are not yet stuck in a mold regarding where they land in the national rankings, each game matters that much more. So, over the course of this past week, which teams landed some of the best wins to improve their potential NCAA Tournament resume and how can they grow over the coming months as they fight for at-large bids or high seeds in the dance.
