Las Vegas now has Michigan favored over Ohio State for ‘The Game’

Nine games into the 2018 college football season, and perceptions have changed.

Michigan (8-1) sits atop the Big Ten with an unbeaten conference record, a trip to Ohio State the biggest remaining obstacle between the Wolverines and a league title and probable trip to the College Football Playoff.

And now, the Wolverines are favored to win The Game.

That’s the latest update from the Las Vegas Superbook, and a big departure from the early lines released over the summer, where U-M was a 9-point underdog.

Michigan hasn’t been favored in Columbus since 2004, a game it lost 37-21. Currently, the Wolverines have lost six straight to the Buckeyes.

Michigan thrashed Penn State on Saturday, 42-7, the final touch of a three-game win streak against ranked opponents. The Wolverines won each by at least two touchdowns, and now sit in the coveted top four of playoff projections.

So it’s Rutgers this week, before hosting Indiana on Nov. 17. Michigan-Ohio State is set for 12 p.m. Nov. 24, and should decide who represents the Big Ten East in Indianapolis.
