Jim Harbaugh Could Be Making A Big Change To Michigan’s Staff

This season won’t end with championship glory for the Michigan Wolverines, but the prestigious program will have high expectations next year, specifically because Shea Patterson will return to Ann Arbor. While Pep Hamilton currently serves as the passing game coordinator and assistant head coach, there are indications that Jim Harbaugh could make a significant change to his coaching staff.

Before Harbaugh decides to schedule any interviews with other coaches, he’ll focus on having his team prepared for Saturday’s Peach Bowl. With the Florida Gators looking to play spoiler, the Wolverines need to be ready for an absolute battle.

Once the dust settles from this upcoming weekend, it is possible that Harbaugh will look to hire an offensive coordinator for 2019.

Coaches all around the country should be interested in this opportunity. The chance to call plays for an offensive juggernaut next season could elevate assistants to bigger roles in the future.

The expectation is that Michigan should contend at the top of the Big Ten in 2019, especially if Ohio State doesn’t have Dwayne Haskins. With Patterson ready to boost his draft stock in his senior campaign, the sky is the limit for the Wolverines.

Harbaugh doesn’t have a true offensive coordinator on his staff right now, but that might change in a matter of weeks.

Stay tuned.
