Running back O’Maury Samuels has been kicked off the University of Michigan football team.
A report in the Detroit News said Samuels appeared in 15th District Court Wednesday on one charge of domestic violence and one charge of malicious destruction of property.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh always made it clear to his players that he had zero tolerance for domestic violence.
According to the court, the Sophomore running back committed the offenses last Saturday. Samuels was a part of the 2017 draft class, coming out of Los Lunas high school as a four-star recruit and 21st ranked running back in the country by 24/7 Sports.
He had six appearances for the Wolverines this season and had 13 carries for 66 yards.
