With less than a month until the first Signing Day period, Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class is sitting at ninth overall in the 2019 247Sports team rankings, good for tops in the Big Ten. They’re slightly ahead of both Penn State and Ohio State with both of those programs still having ample room to add to their class.
For the Wolverines, they are at 26 verbal commitments at this juncture with running back Eric Gray’s verbal in the air with a flood of 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions coming in favor of Tennessee recently.
Despite a deep class, the staff is still recruiting a large group of targets with linebacker, defensive line and wide receiver looking like the major needs at this juncture. Michigan already has five verbals on the offensive line and a strong group of skill position players led by Top30 prospect Zach Charbonnet and four-star Giles Jackson among others.
In this piece, I took a cursory look at the current 247Sports Crystal Ball outlook for ten prospects the Wolverines are believed to be recruiting heavily at this juncture.
