The Michigan-Florida matchup in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is poised to be one of the most exciting non-CFP bowl games of the season.
According to Associated Press writer Ralph D. Russo, Michigan fans in particular have good reason to be excited as he is predicting that the Wolverines will win the game.
Why watch? This will be the third matchup of Gators and Wolverines since Jim Harbaugh became Michigan coach in 2015. Wait, that’s why NOT to watch. This really should be UCF vs. Florida … MICHIGAN 24-17.
The Wolverines seemed to have the Big Ten title and a spot in the College Football Playoff in the bag, but lost in the final weekend to eventual Big Ten champion Ohio State in a historic blowout.
Florida, under new head coach Dan Mullen, also looked like an early contender for the SEC title. However, back-to-back losses to Georgia and Missouri put an end to those ambitions too.
As Russo mentioned, this will be the third matchup with Florida since Jim Harbaugh became Michigan’s head coach in 2015.
The Wolverines have never lost to the Gators, and boast a perfect 4-0 record against them. Two of Michigan’s four wins against Florida came in bowl games.
