The Illinois basketball team takes on a tough Michigan Wolverines program on Thursday night.

This is going to be a really tough test for the Orange and Blue. The Illini come into the contest losing their last four games and sitting with a record of 4-11 overall and 0-4 in the Big Ten. But, this Illinois basketball team doesn’t go down without a fight. They have been in every game this season but just can’t finish strong.

Michigan, on the other hand, has been the complete opposite of the Illini. They are 15-0 this season and 4-0 in the Big Ten. The Wolverines have been winning like they are on a mission to get to the championship this year. Michigan’s wins include No. 8 Villanova, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 19 Purdue and No. 21 Indiana. That is an impressive resume already.

Most people probably think this game is not going to be close by just looking at the records. But, I wouldn’t be shocked if the Illini can keep up for a while. ESPN has the Illini with a 20-percent chance to win, which is a little surprising. There isn’t a line on the game yet either, but I would guess the line ends up being something like -13.5 in favor of Michigan.
